Toggle“Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back” introduced much impressive ground vehicles, one of most famous is AT-AT Walker. AT-AT walker have been created 4 version by Lego. The newest is 75288 AT-AT in 2020, containing 1267 pieces!
Minifigures in AT-AT Walker
Let’s start off with taking a look at those minifigures, So first up is Luke Skywalker Minifigure, Luke skywalker get a blue lightsaber with hilt, he is also carrying a thermal detonator in his hand. The only real new thing about this minifigure is not even the helmet but actually the face print is new. It’s a dual sided face, a happy cheery expression face, a serious smile face.
Next up is General Veers Minifigure, this is not the first time we’ve gotten this minifigure before, but it is a new version. We have a new torso print, there’s no leg printing. Given his position directing the battle it does come with a pair of binoculars. He got a new helmet mold with a new color and new print. There is no a holographic darth vader which you can put in the cockpit area of the AT-AT, It’s my only real disappointment with the set, I wish you could have it and put it in the hand of general Veers.
Coming next are two Snowtrooper Minifigures, each Snowtrooper carries a standard blaster rifle. The torso and leg printing on these cold-weather soldiers is excellent. Snowtrooper helmets include nice moulded detail and the different heads underneath, The face in keeping with the AT-AT Drivers. Imperial Snowtroopers wear backpacks in the movie and the previous AT-AT Set versions, there is no on these minifigures. Same as the waist cape, I think the reason why LEGO decided not to include it in this AT-AT set is simply because, if you have the waist cape on, you cannot properly put the Snowtrooper in the seating.
One difference between the AT-AT and its predecessors is the cockpit, 75288 provides room for two AT-AT Driver Minifigures. Next up is the AT-AT drivers, this is a new version. We have a new torso print and new legs, there’s some printing on the hip piece, even down between the legs have some very small lines of printing. He has a small little pistol, the helmet is old version.
Completed AT-AT Walker
Let’s turn our attention to the Completed AT-AT Walker Set, this set has 1267 pieces. 75288 AT-AT looks more distinctive. Features unique proportions more boxy, if you look at ‘The Empire Strikes Back’, its more simlar to movie version.
I really like the AT-AT Walker design especially this front head. It’s better built than previous iterations. It’s very sturdy, the panels don’t move side to side and it’s very easy to open. Two articulated medium blasters are situated on either side of the cockpit are very sturdy. While the famous heavy laser cannons are slung underneath. Lego have a new kind of design for the neck piece of the AT-AT, Previously, some circular LEGO bricks were used here. This time lego using Technic Steering Wheels, it works really well. There’s a little give to when you kind of move it because there’s a little rubber technic piece around.
The central armour panels are connected to Technic beams inside, allowing them to move upwards. You can open this door on the side and you can actually do this with both doors. I love this function, this is very very very cool. The AT-AT walker is fully visible inside, this vehicle is exceedingly spacious, containing sand blue seats for five Snowtroopers. It’s unfortunate that there are only two snow troopers supply with set which waste large space.
Apart from the snowtroops, this space offers storage for an E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster. In the rear section of the body, this is another area where can open up. This is where we’re going to put our Speeder Bike. So it actually is very simple, you just slide it right into there.

Another opening area is located towards the front, open this area, you will see there is a Technic Gear right there with some string attached. Turning this gear, there is a little handle and that is supposed to represent luke’s little grappler. In the movie, Luke holds on to his grappler kind of jumps up on the AT-AT and throws the Thermal Detonator. That’s really cool they have a little door hatch for the detonator on the bottom.
AT-AT walkers usually controlled by two drivers and an officer. In the previous Lego AT-AT version have only accommodated two minifigures. The interior undoubtedly remains narrow, but here a great change, there is enough space for 3 minifigures. The designer has still found enough room to incorporate basic controls which surround the minifigures.

74-Z Speeder Bike And E-Web Blaster
This speeder bikes is smaller than previous 74-Z speeder which appear between 2008 and 2013. New Speeder bike more accurate beside minifigures. It’s actually a very nice looking speeder bike. It have a foot pedals, a movable handles, There is space for a Snowtrooper minifigure to sit behind the handlebars .

Next up is the E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster, so if you’re a fan of the mandalorian you might really want this E-Web Blaster. You can easily attach your snowtrooper, rotate around on the stand.
Conclusion
The giant AT-AT maybe the one of the most famous vehicle in Star Wars movie. Lego 75288 AT-AT Restore this big machine. It looks spectacular on display, and featuring tremendous detail better than previous version. The cockpit is bigger than previous for 3 minifigures, it was a excellent change, the interior is excellent too. When the size and quality of the AT-AT are taken into account, the price is reasonable.
